Ocean Defenders, Assemble!

The ocean doesn't care about our politics, but its future depends on them.

Every year, surfers and scientists, fishermen and filmmakers, divers, Navy vets, tribal leaders and kids who just discovered tide pools come together at Blue Frontier events to do what the sea can't do for itself: organize. Grab a seat, or better yet, grab a mic.

From the Peter Benchley Ocean Awards to the Blue Vision Summit and grassroots gatherings along both coasts, our events are where ocean defenders swap stories, sharpen strategy, and remember they're not alone out there. We've watched reefs bleach, fisheries collapse and comeback, and coastal towns rebuild after storms that used to be once-in-a-century. We've also seen what happens when ordinary people decide the water belongs to all of us: marine sanctuaries designated, offshore drilling stopped, polluted bays brought back to life. The tide turns when people show up. Find an event near you and add your voice to the current.
